InnovationInspiration.org is an entity founded by Charlie Garland, who is a Senior Fellow of Cognition Research with HITLAB at Columbia University Medical Center, as well as a Board Member with the Creative Education Foundation. Among the innovation resources he's designed are Cognitive Buoyancy and Cubie, "The Innovation Cube."
Charlie is leading the research for this book, primarily through interviewing inspirational innovation leaders from around the world - those who have created impact in myriad areas of life and society, far beyond just within a business context.
We are creating a curated collection of stories about the world's most intriguing leaders of innovation - some famous, but many not. These stories tell how each leader has not only embraced and applied their practice of innovation, but also how they've been successful in inspiring others to do the same.
Our goal is for this book to "practice what it preaches" - to inspire the reader to become an innovator (or a more impactful innovation leader) themselves.
Speaking of practicing what we preach: one of the primary tools being used in the design and execution of this research is Cubie, noted above.
We'd love to have you be a part of this inspirational book. The most helpful way is to nominate those who you believe to be exemplars of innovation leadership. You may most certainly nominate yourself (who knows more about what you've done...than you?).
We will reach out to your nominee(s), introduce ourselves, mention who referred us (unless you'd prefer we don't), describe how we'd like to highlight their story, and schedule a 30-minute interview. We believe they'll be very happy you've given them this opportunity to shine.
This is not a "pay-to-play" scheme; there is absoluely no cost or fee to you or those whose stories we're writing. If you so choose, you will be acknowledged in the book as a contributor to the value of its contents!
Sign up to hear about the progress of our research and the availability of the book.
Introduce us to individuals whom you believe have a great innovation leadership story! You are strongly encouraged to nominate yourself, if you believe you fit the profile.
Nominate yourself or any inspirational innovation leader. Please provide the person's name, title, organization, email address, and phone number.
Include why you believe they are noteworthy, regarding their organization, context of how/where they've applied innovation, their impact, their tools, their methods, or their "brand."
